Usually I blend it a little higher, but I thought it looked better as a daytime look without all the excess shadow above my crease. I don’t have many gold shadows, so this was the best option I had. I think I need to pick up one from Fyrinnae next order! LE Sandstorm is more of a sandy, darker gold and I think this would be better with a brighter/more glittery gold shade.
- Sandstorm – rich velvety yellow with gold overlay
- MaryJane – is a mid tone gray green with a slight pink/red shift.
This is my first time using MPZ and I like them so far. Mary Jane definitely needs some Pixie Epoxy to help that shift come through. Sandstorm just turns so dark on my skin and I’m not sure why. I don’t have a swatch of the blush I used(that is coming later), but so far I think they are my favorite indie blushes I’ve tried. They are often so pigmented that it will fill in the pores on my cheeks and give me a strawberry sort of look! Not good! I’ve used MPZ’s blush three times and I haven’t had any issues with it. It blends smooth, not patchy, and it’s not full of shimmer/glitter.
Any gold indies you are a fan of that would work with this look?! Let me know in the comments!
