This posting is incredibly late, as the next round is already
being shipped out Here!!!
I will fully admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of this box this time around. Warmer colors and greens are not my friends! This box did have a real stunner in it, Femme Fatale’s Straw To Gold, and I really like Hello Waffle’s new Lip Color Formula as well(spoilers, this one feels really similar to the sorely missed Performance Colors!).
If you want to skip ahead and see the looks that I have created with this box go here!
I do love how everything matches the theme so well and still comes together as a cohesive look!
I also pulled out all of my shadow sifters, I think I stand firmly in the no-sifter camp now. XD
All of these swatches are in the order of Bare Skin – Wet & Wild Fergie Primer – Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
I applied the shadow and then did a few other things for ~15 mins to see how well the sparkle would stay on the primer and the color on bare skin.
Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxide, Tin Oxide, Yellow #5, Blue #1, Palmitic Acid, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Silica, Boron Nitride, Nylon 12, Carnauba Wax, Lauroyl Lysine, Magnesium Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Zinc Stearate
This color is beautiful with all its sparkle! I just personally do not wear green eyeshadow. You will definitely need a sticky base for this one if you want the sparkles.
Ingredients: Iron Oxide, Boron Nitride, Nylon 12, Carnauba Wax, Lauroyl Lysine, Kaolin Clay, Magnesium Stearate, Zinc Stearate
This is a nice matte color, good for blending or a transition shade. I did NOT put this over a sticky base as it’s not needed for matte colors. Unfortunately, I think it’s a little too warm for my liking.
Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Silica, Tin Oxide, Iron Oxide, Carmine, Boron Nitride, Nylon 12, Carnauba Wax, Lauroyl Lysine, Magnesium Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Zinc Stearate
This one I thought would be more like Shiro’s Moon Prism Power, but it leans more gold. I think this is a pretty overshadow and it’s pretty in the corner as a highlight.
This color is beautiful! It most definitely needs some pixie epoxy or else you are just going to get the gray color. Straw to Gold is a great color for a night out, it really sparkles! I’m looking forward to doing a really dark smokey eye with a pop of this gold.
Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Bismuth Oxychloride, iron Oxide, Carmine, Boron Nitride, Boron Oxide, Magnesium Myristrate, Carnauba Wax, Lauroyl Lysine, Magnesium Stearate, Kaolin Clay, Zinc Stearate
This is a pretty blush. I have to be careful though on my cheeks not to put to much, the gold shimmer really comes out over foundation and it looks like a big gold patch from the curve of my cheek.
Ingredients: Candelilla Wax, Avocado Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter, Red #27, Yellow #5, Pigment White, Red #33, Pigment Black, Fragrance, Vitamin E
This is a super pretty color, but on me it is definitely not a My Lips But Better shade. My lips are not super pigmented, so this was more of a darker rosey shade on me. I really enjoy this new formula, it hasn’t gone gritty on me yet(the ones prior were pretty much gritty right away) and it’s pretty much opaque in two coats. Formula wise, it feels similar to Performance Color’s Restorative lip colors. It definitely leaves behind a pink stain.
